Although I am not a therapist, I do consider myself a major part of the staff as an office administrator (I will be the person you ask for to answer all the questions you may have). A little bit about me is that I graduated from Eastern Illinois University with my Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Health Administration in 2018. I worked as a Nursing Assistant for 5 years before I transitioned to the administration aspect of healthcare. I love to travel, experience new things, and listen to all kinds of music. I consider myself a very organized person and I am always setting new goals to achieve. I am passionate about my job here at Genesis.

I believe that a therapist-client relationship is a partnership. Through the course of our journey, we will work together to set goals and develop a better understanding of your experience. I have experience working with an array of clients from different walks of life, though I particularly enjoy working with young adults. To me, young adulthood represents an overwhelming, exciting, and scary time where significant change and growth occurs. I am passionate about working with young adults because I value their experiences and enjoy navigating that stage of growth in collaboration. You are the expert in your story, and as you navigate it in therapy, I will walk beside you, empower you, and promote growth.

I am deeply curious about people. I’m interested in what makes you, you. You’re taking this step to talk to someone because something is getting in the way for you. Perhaps it’s a painful experience, feeling down or anxious, or you’re having trouble connecting with others. I believe that freely expressing yourself in a therapeutic relationship sheds new light on where you've been—and on the way forward. Whether you know what’s weighing on you, or you haven’t yet put your finger on the problem, we can work together toward understanding your experiences and building on your strengths. I welcome adults of all ages, adolescents, and couples.

In school, at the workplace, and sometimes even in our own families, we are encouraged to repress our emotions and hide parts of ourselves. I provide a space free from judgements and interruptions, where you can unapologetically be yourself. I work with adolescents and adults of all ages, and I particularly enjoy working with clients on managing perfectionism, improving self-esteem, promoting healthier body image, and working through trauma while providing psychoeducation and coping skills.
